Should I give up at Windows 8?

I have now used my weekend trying to get Windows 8 Pro to work properly. But I keep running into problems. My CPU i5 3570K won't clock down when idle, so it runs hot My security (KIS 2013) don't work with java in Windows 8 (nomatter which browser I try) My homebanking uses java Really slow USB 3 performance, and no new driver to be found It looks ugly at desktop level without Aero
