The screen is split into 8 views immediately from when laptop starts. (2 across and 4 down)
Odd thing though is that an external monitor connected only shows the one view.
Also the screen will go blank (purple background) every two minutes or so for a few seconds before the screen comes back. The cursor changes to a circle as if something is about to happen just before blank (purple) screen....
