Prevent lock screen password when monitor turns off

I have Windows 8 Pro, and a laptop. My power settings say, while on battery, dim the display at 2min, turn off the monitor at 5min and put the computer to sleep after 15 minutes. Is there a way to instruct Windows 8 that at the 5min mark, when it turns off my display to conserve power that I can avoid it going to the lock screen and then requiring my password?
