Please note that I posted this in W10 forums by mistake...........
If I disconnect the HD from my PC it does not start.
But my wife's old Compaq Laptop, provided is powered on mains it works OK with the HD removed.
And the 3 partiotions I made originally on the HD are still visible & contain all the files.
The properties of its C:/ main partition show 145GBs.

PC won't sleep - have tried EVERYTHING I KNOW OF.
Windows 8.1 Won't go to sleep automatically
I've done quite a bit a research and nothing seems to support my case. My computer will GO to sleep and STAY asleep if I ask it to as in, I manually put the computer to sleep. But if I don't manually put it to sleep, it won't go to sleep, only the monitors turn off and the computer is still running. I checked powercfg and it doesn't say anything...

How do i set default window size?
I would like to set window sizes of programs/prompts on my laptop to fullscreen, but after re-opening the program/prompt after sizing its window, it would go back to its default window size, which isn't fullscreen. How do I set the default windows size so that when all programs/prompts open their windows are at that size? Answer back as soon as possible, and thank you.

Windows 8 saved folder option
Whenever i try to save a new file it goes directly to "Onedrive\Documents"
i prefer it should go to Documents folder by default

Synchronisation problem with clock in Windows 8

I currently have a problem with my clock in Windows 8. Now time is 16:17 (as on time.is) but on Windows 8 my clock shows 15:17.
Meridian is that of Paris which is fine because I live in France.
I can change my clock by adding an hour. But in that case, the change will be undone (canceled) when I log to Linux Elementary and the clock will again be one hour too early. I would...

Disabling window previews, & getting white title bar text.
I'm using 7+ Taskbar Tweaker to disable the preview when hovering over a window on the taskbar, however if I click on the minimised window and pull up with the mouse, the following happens. I'm using the "white title bar text" trick which involves installing UxStyles which is what causes this, and unless there's another way to get white title bar text, then all I can think to do is prevent this...

Watchdog violation BSOD, possibly caused by ntoskrnl.exe
I have been getting BSOD while using graphically extensive programs, when checking the dump file with blue screen view the only thing that is a different color is a red ntoskrnl.exe+18ae3c . I have been working on troubleshooting my pc for 3 days now, and the ntoskrnl seems to be the only thing that seems to most likely be the cause for the watchdog violation.

Recent DPC_WatchDog_Violation BSOD
